As kitchens went cold and lives grew uncertain, he stepped up—not with a business plan, but with a heartfelt gesture: nourishing people with authentic, home-cooked meals rooted in empathy and warmth.

Supported by his family, this humble initiative became more than just a means of survival—it blossomed into a soulful expression of care, connection, and culinary simplicity. But as the world healed and job offers resurfaced, the venture was reluctantly paused.

Persistent requests from loyal patrons and a growing dissatisfaction with the return to routine sparked a rekindled vision. Encouraged by Kalpesh, a spirited younger colleague who shared Subhendu’s values and entrepreneurial spark, the duo chose not to look back. Combining ‘Shubh’endu’s deep-rooted expertise with ‘Kal’pesh’s modern business flair, “ Shubh-Kal ” was born—a name symbolising “good times ahead.”
